Dr. Ghazala Aziz embarked on her academic journey with a strong foundation, earning her Bachelor of Arts (BA Hons) in Economics from the Department of Economics at Aligarh Muslim University, India, in 1997. She continued her education with a Master of Arts (MA) in Economics from the same institution in 1999. Dr. Aziz further pursued her academic interests by completing her Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Public Economics from the Department of Economics at Aligarh Muslim University, India, from 2003 to 2009. Additionally, she engaged in specialized studies, including Climate Change through an online course from The University of Melbourne and a Postgraduate Diploma in Environment and Sustainable Development from Indira Gandhi National Open University, India.
